What do I wear?
 The Basement employs a casual approach to dance wear. We ask for  appropriate ballet shoes and general loose exercise clothing.

Who can come?
 There is no age limit; we have dancers  of all ages, shapes and sizes. You are all welcome  to our classes. We have a lot of dancers who  studied ballet on a regular basis  but gave up as adults in order to study or work. This is the largest group who attend class. The class also attracts dance students wanting to improve technique
THE BALLET SURGERY
This programme (held on Saturdays and Thursdays), is a six week course designed to help beginner students develop ballet technique.  It is a relaxed class that focuses on the  fundamentals of  ballet  and serves as a foundation for the intermediate level class held on Mondays.  Please click here for more information about The Ballet  Surgery
BALLET INTERMEDIATE
The Basement holds 6 week adult ballet classes  of an intermediate standard. The course assumes a general knowledge of ballet This course normally runs on Monday evenings at 6.30pm. Please click here for the next start dates
